Is anyone aware of any modifications that are possible to the rear tailpipe on this car. I was thinking of one which came straight out from the silencer, as opposed to the current style, which has a few 90 degree turns.

Possiblly the best way is to find an exhaust place that do custom work and they should be able to make what you are looking for. We are lucky to have one like that near us - great for all our modded cars. Best of luck! Mike

yup, i hated the aesthetics of the tailpipe so after a few enquiries i simply hacksawed the pipe off where it is straight - just after the bumper exit then fitted a jetex oval tailpiece available most accessory shops for 30 -50. sounds extreme but worked a treat and really easy, couple with my cold air feed i have all the looks and noise aswell as some added bhp on a budget.

these tail pieces normally come with a universal diy fitment, mine involved a clamp tightening the trim onto the exhaust. though i did find that although the trim was secured to the exhahaust hat there remained a mm of space around the edge creating a burble normally asociated with a hole, therefore i used holts gum to seal it up. since then ive had to have my exhaust replaced so the fitters simple put my trim straight onto the backbox to stop me having to do all the work of trimming and sealing again!
