Thanks for your replys chaps Tried the pedal trick, to be honest it stayed up. but if i pumped it first the pedal came up, then went down slowly under pressure. thing is the brakes stop the car on a penny if you can get used to pressing the pedal 4 inches first. Will get the wheels of later and take a look at the calipers, although previous owner says he has had them all off.

Could also be your servo quit check the unions on the servo and where the pipes lead into the engine manifold you might find a small hole or split otherwise check as already mentioned. Charlotte
