Are you using the recommended external hard drive for a laptop? Are you disabling the wireless network as recommended? Have you tried the suggestions in the ? (Obviously not, since you didn't post detailed system specifications pre the recommendation at the bottom). If you are not running/configured as per the recommendations, you will always have problems with Pro Tools.

Thanks for the reply... I finally figured out what the issue was. The Dell Laptop I just got had an upgraded sound card installed which seemed to be causing conflicts with the Pro Tools MBox. I went into my Device Manager and disabled the sound card in the laptop and suddenly Pro Tools was working great. I have never seen this issue mentioned before, but I am glad that I finally gave this a shot as it took care of my situation immediately. And also in response to the person who replied to my question...Yes, I do make sure the network card is disabled during use, but no I am not using an external drive. However, my laptop has two drives C: & D: drive. I have designated the D: drive as my 'pro tools sessions' drive and it seems to be working great since there is nothing else at all on this drive. Thanks for your reply...and I hope this message is useful to someone else who might be having an issue with sound cards interferring with each other. D.Smith
