Reaper development has been completely halted, to allow Cockos to program their new DAW software called "Smelly Socks". :D PS - I need to try the new pre. I've been reluctant to this point, but if JBM is using it, that's good enough for me... I basically said WWJBMD, and now I know.

I just don't get it. You will not pay for Beta software but want nonstop updates, not only for the stable main Windows version but also for the Mac, the Beta one without even been non-commercial registered which cost, what, 50 bucks. Others DAW software doesn't let you post in their forums if you haven't bought the software, others will accused you of using cracked software if you are not registered. I just don't get it.

Now now, let's play nice. The OP's question has been answered and this thread should be locked. Development has not been suspended. The 2.99 testing is going ahead at full throttle and looks to be an amazing release. Reaper 2.53 is very stable and generally awesome. Still, it's amazing to think that with only ~3 months of development time, we'll probably get a jump in functionality with 2.99 that many other DAW's only see with a yearly update.
