Mix system connection question

I have a D24 and (2) Mix farm cards. My current interface is the AD8000 which I have connected to one of the Mix Farm cards. In order to hook up a second interface, can I simply plug it in to the other Mix Farm, or do I need to use a Digi Y cable? Thanks for the info!

You can connect directly to another card. Just know that anytime you assign an input or output to that interface, a chip on the DSP card will be taken up by the mixer.

A couple follow-up questions: -Can I connect it to a DSP Farm card or does it have to go to Mix Farm card? -Does each instance of of a stereo I/O to my 2nd interface take up an entire chip? In other words, if I have 3 outboard verbs (setup as auxes on my 2nd interface) will that take up a total of 3 chips, or just one? Many thanks for taking the time to help me with this.
