It would be nice if the Tempo adjust included up/down arrows to fine tune tempo. It's a pain to have to type the tempo in to adjust it!

You can use mousewheel to adjust by +/- 1 BPM. Hold Shift for finetune.

I don't want arrows but would want click & drag up and down for tempo and other text areas.

I don't have a mousewheel :-/ Click and drag would be fine, too. Or if the arrow keys did it, that'd be alright. Basically anything other than having to type a new tempo in.

Well then I'd definitely get something with a mousewheel on it. It's infinitely useful. By the way, check the Actions list. There are actions for increasing and decreasing current project tempo. Bind that to whatever keys you want.

touchpad should either have a dedicated area for scrolling or it's two-finger touch

It definitely has those options, but I don't like to turn them on because I end up accidentally scrolling randomly. It's not the biggest deal, but it'd be a nice feature, not much downside to adding it.
