Hi! Got a question that I just can't find an answer to. Hope someone knows! I've been told by someone that the A/D-converter in Digi001 always records in 24 bits. So if I choose to record in 16 bits, it records in 24 bits and then truncates down to 16 bits before storing on the hard drive. Is this true? And if that's the case - what impact could that have on my recording in comparison with another 16-bit recording device such as DAT? Will there be any difference whatsoever, theoretically or practically? And another question: When truncating, does it just "delete" the 8 least significant bits and leave the other 16? No dither or anything involved? Don't know if I've got this right... Thanks! TheGrid
