Hello guys, First of all I present my self, I am ricardo, my band zNo, i make industrial music but not only...;) website All my music is in Creativ Common :) Then I is possible to Re import a sample you made reaper directly in drag n drop to the media Explorer ???? If not I think it will be very cool and efficient on work to create it :)))) Thanks reaper !!!!
Im not sure what you mean..possibly having virtual folders in media explorer just like in Vegas? If yes, It is still not available in Reaper if i know well.
hello thanx to ask it's not exactly what i mean in fact : if for exemple you record a sound in reaper , you modify them (fx,pitch what ever...) to save the sound you must render. it would be nice to just drag n drop in the media explorer to the shortcut ( my samples for exemple ) It is not a revolution but just a litle thing to win time ...
If I understood the question correctly...It's already possible to ctrl+alt+drag items from the timeline to various places(*), including the currently open folder in the Media Explorer and Reaper will render the item as a new file to the hard drive. All the pitch/time stretch/fx processing in the item will be included in that file. Unfortunately the file naming scheme isn't the best possible. If you have a file called "Piano.wav" in the media item, it will be rendered as "Piano render 001.wav" etc...(With an increasing number.) This is especially painful as renaming files in the media explorer isn't too easy. Personally I might like an option for Reaper to ask the new file name before it renders the file... I've also done some extension actions to rename the source media files of items. So using those it's possible to make a macro (custom action) that does for example "Render item as new take" and then from my extension plugin "Rename take source file". The source file renaming actions are a bit experimental at the moment though...The actions also keep the file in the same folder where Reaper puts them when it renders. (*) Other destination places for the drag include Windows Explorer and it's replacements, like xplorer2 as well as some VSTi samplers that support drag and drop to their user interfaces.
thanks Xenakios and boka for giving me some time thanks a lot Xenakios for the tips it is magic !!!! exactly what I want :)))) You made an happyh man :))
