I did the search and nothing came up . I was trying to import a 86 minute mix into protools and all of a sudden I got a message saying Cannot proceed because DISC IS FULL ( -34 ) What is this and what should I do ? I am running protools le 6.4 on mac G4 OS 10.3.8 I am also getting a message saying STARUP DISC IS FULL , YOU NEED TO DELETE FILES IN ORDER TO PROCEED . where would I go to do this and would it affect any of my audio in my sessions ?

double click on your hard drive icon on your desktop and in the window that opens, you'll see the amount of space available. If you were trying to import an 86-min session to your main drive, yeah, you probably filled it up really quickly. You should look into getting an external firewire drive to use for your audio. While it works, it's not advisable to use your main drive for audio. If you weren't recording to your main drive, your main drive could just be full for other reasons.
