sooo, it's working or it isn't? I don't really get the reason for your post - are you asking if it will work, or are you having problems getting it to work? The 20" display should work fine under OS9, you just won't have access to some of the control/calibration features as mentioned in the post you already found.

To be honest, I haven't yet opened the box. To my suprise ( or naivete ), I looked at the compatibility document on the box and discovered that it supports OSX.1.2 and up. So at this point, I became a little apprehensive in opening the box before researching this issue. That is why I am here. I know I am putting the cart before the horse, but I want to ensure that this will work before I open the box.

Did you check the apple forums? Definitely more information on this topic over there. Here's a few threads:

Pardon my annoying tenacity. I just want to ensure that I can use this monitor before I open the box. Just seeking confirmation. Thanks. P.S. Thanks, for the links Slim; they were very informative. I just want to be 100% sure.

I couldn't quit tell is this was covered or not, but if your G4 is one of the earlier units it doesn't actually supply power to the displays (there is no trace on the mother board bringing power to the AGP slot - you have to purchase an additional adapter from apple to will let you use it. Cheers,

I actually, have that covered with the ADC to DVI adapter. It only allows for the Sawtooth Macs to operate with the DVI connection. Thanks, though.
