first of all did you get and install the latest and proper drivers for that m-audio card? If so there should be a control panel for it... you fisrt have to open that control panel and set up or turn on the in and out puts... [often with m-audio drivers, they will be off or muted until you set them in the control panel] if that is done, in reaper, go to pref's... to audio device and you should see the device as an ASIO device... choose it and look at the two areas below, where you tell reaper what are the first and last inputs... and what are the outputs... then for midi, also choose the m-audio midi device, enabled should be good to go...
...the owners manual is free, in PDF form, on the Reaper Homepage, at the top, to the right. Just download. You just need your drivers and your good to go.
KWA* *kid with attitude. With advice you generally get what you pay for, OP. And on here you get a huge bargain. We are the USERS of this software, not the developers, although the devs do post on here regularly. The guy who suggested you buy the manual is just a user, like the rest of us. No axe to grind, no financial gain involved in his suggestion. You will find the guys and gals on this forum to be really helpful, but not if you show your ass like a spoilt kid every time someone makes a suggestion you personally don't like. Now walk back out the door, take a deep breath and come back in with a new, positive and polite attitude and you might get somewhere.
