I normally render out my home DVD projects to the regular MPEG2 settings of 720x576 PAL. But my current project is made up of hundreds of high resolution JPEG images. My DVD player can playback all flavors of MPEG4 including XVID know that I could also render out my current project into HD, using Vegas, then burn the files as a data disk which should play back in HD OK. What I don't know is just what XVID settings I should use. I can see that one preset is for HD TV. I have looked at the codec settings for XVID when in Vegas & just don't know what multi pass settings I should be using or if I have to enter a bit rate. Can anyone help me out with this? Also what about single pass XVID -HD -how does it compare with the standard MPEG2 results? Thanks in advance

Have you actually played an HD resolution MPEG-4 video on your player? Most MPEG-4 players only do up to full resolution SD - which would be 720x576 in your case.
