I ripped a movie the other day. Somehow the ifo file is missing? I everything else it seems... I no longer have the dvd so I can NOT rip that? I then choose recover and found the D2v file but when I choose to load it I get an error? The errror is I/O error 131 Is there another way I can get the process going again??? It doesn't make any sense. I even tried to restore the pc to an earlier date thinking my kid might have been messing with the pc and deleted the file somehow? Any rate its still not there..... Can I do this another way???? Thanks Spankey

Problem posts go in the Basic section... To fix your problem, use IFOEdit to remake the IFO from the VOBs. This problem is due to an issue where DVD2SVCD erroneously (I believe) deletes the IFO.

spankey it's ok. Notice the way my reply was worded. First was the answer then the reminder. If I felt it was more serious then I would have reversed the wording and if it was real bad then a strike would have been issued. So this was a mild friendly reminder not a slap. We like our forum neat and tidy. BTW we don't flame here. We give a slap on the wrist like the Nuns do. So see we are doing heavenly work. ok maybe not. Most of the hitting on searching is out of frustration more then anything else. For those that have been here for some time we see the same questions asked again and again and again and again. I think you get the point. A simple search serves two masters you and us. You learn the answer without having to waite for a reply and we don't have to answer the same thing 100 times a month. It takes less then a minute to search. Mark

Markrb- Sorry if I got a little hostile? I understand about the searching. And no matter what forum I am on, I always try to search my question out before I post it. I to get tired of looking at same issues over and over again. But then again, yeah some are repeat offenders, but others somewhat at times are new to that specific forum... I did in fact search out IFO and was returned like 100 posts..Arggg... I searched through several but none stated the help you and Ultimate offered(by the way it worked thank you!) so I decided to post my topic... You know there must be some serious re-posting going on here when you have to wait 5 days till you can post a new topic as a new member... No slap intended. Good security.. But eventually they must get in somehow. Right.. Markrd and Ultimate, thanks for your help you saved my movie and my son's sanity. The movie was for him... Actually a "P'oed" seven year old? Hmmm You saved my sanity.:D LOL Spank.
