When I try to save or open a preset, it crashes Reaper. It lets me adjust all the parameters, but not save or load them. The crash also happens if I just save the Reaper project after adjusting the piano's parameters. I used it on a new project with just one track and CV Piano on it. When I use CV Piano as a stand-alone, it saves and loads happily. It's frustrating as this piano needs some tweaking to sound right. Anybody else with similar problems? Should I post this issue in the bug tracker?

Confirmed. Since i've been using Tascam CV piano i get complete Reaper-crashes too. The first loading of a new preset doesn't crash Reaper, only the second time loading a preset crashes Reaper. I've tried to toggle the FX-status via the FX-chain options. I've tried to unload all instruments via the Tascam options. But nothing helped. Saving a preset doesn't seem to crash Reaper here. So i use to load, change and save presets with the standalone version and use it in Reaper then. Michael

Maybe there's a "workaround" that works for you. In the standalone version click System -> Configuration. There you can "steal" the "Root folder for instrument content" (just delete it, or point it to an invalid directory) The next time you start the VST in Reaper it will load empty. Hopefully loading your preset then will not crash Reaper. Michael
