I,m still on a G400 with 1024 Ram I,ve partioned the program drive in two 1/2 for my old set up 9.2 with pt 5.2.1 and the other with osx 10.2 pt6 a glyph firewire 30g and two other internal audio drives. My 002rack arriving in just a couple of days. I was thinking that when I upgrade my computor that it would take care of the problem. but my friend runs his Mbox with a lab top that is a 867 and I saw some of the same delay on the highlighting of the wave file when he went to edit. thats why I got hopeless about it, feel there is a problem with pt6.
Yeah, your machine is definitely slow for running OSX and PT 6... I have some similar issues with my machine which is the same as yours. Regarding slowness on a laptop, I recently used the 002 on a TiBook and there were TONS of delays doing just about anything... I was very surprised. Don't know if that's a TiBook issue or a 002 issue. It wasn't my setup so I didn't really do any troubleshooting.
