Hey, I am looking for an HDMI to USB adapter to use a display link monitor with a phone. In other words, and I don't even know if this exists, I want to buy the MB168+ by ASUS, but I don't want to buy until I can play content on it with my phone and laptop. (S5 via MHL or ATIV Tab 7) Again, I don't even know if this exists, but this is what I want. If I can't make this work I'll just keep holding out. But if I can, that would make my decision very easy. Thanks.

Sure, DisplayLink is USB not MHL. Depends on your hardware (phone model) and what you are trying to play on the external monitor. Also depends on which OS (name+version) you have on your phone. Some monitors draw too much power for the phone, but they are provided with a USB Y-cable so you can plug it to a power bank.
