You should start by checking your warranty status, should be 1yr parts & labour. No doubt a bunch of people are going to chime in saying "serves you right for buying Behringer crap" etc, but their failure rate is no worse than Mackie's according to people I've asked that have no reason to lie. I've got a Behringer MXB1002 that's been through hell on location for 2 years, hasn't given me cause for worry yet.

First, check warranty stuff, If that doesnt work, look into something like the mindprint DI-port. Those will offer what you are asking for, and i got mine for $250 give or take. IMO the perfect companion for an AMIII-card.

Holy crap! That DI-port looks great! How come I never heard of it? I still have an AMIII-based workstation too... Don't suppose you'd care to pop it open and check what a/d and d/a chips it uses...

No need....i think you can find it in the manual ( ) actually, you cant...but i was able to find that somewhere. The manula does give the specs of the box though.

Thanks for the prompt replies. I checked the warranty and it's still good. That DI-PORT does look bloody good - perfect for the AMIII and kind of what I had in mind to tell the truth. A quick web search shows that it's out of production, although there is some dead stock around at about $500 a unit, unfortunately not at the shop where I bought the mixer. $250 I could stretch to, $500 is a bit severe just after Christmas. You don't want to send me yours, do you, Bastiaan? Maybe I'll get the Behringer repaired and keep my eyes open for one of those S/H. Or any other options??? Thanks Jon Moxon
