Configuring Sibelius & PT so that I can run them together? I am using the audiomediaIII card. Sibelius's program opens with some frivalous .WAV music. I am wondering if that will make Sibelius configuration specially tricky? I am using PT 5.1.1 on a winMe with Sibelius 2. While you are at it, please go ahead and tell me how to configure PT and Finale. I might decide to use Finale instead of Sibelius. I suspect because Finale doesn't open with any frivalous WAV music that perhaps the configuring will be slightly different? Thanks for your time, GuitarEasley
hmmnnn... I just got done experimenting with a turning off midi notes and stuff like that while running PT and Sibelius together but I get all sorts of errors regardless. What's the secret? Interestingly enough, I can use WaveLab 3 and Sibelius 2 at the same time with no problems. I can play the audio file through WaveLab while I am playing the midi notes of my Sibelius 2 at the same time. I can hear both wavelab's .WAV coming out of my audiomediaIII card and Sibelius's midi playing out of my little soundblaster card simultaneaously. I wonder if there is a work around so I can do this with PT?
Finale = ProTools Sibelius = Sonar 80% of pros use Finale for actual engraving/copy work. 80% or pros use PT for editing. Sonar and Sibelius are easier to use, but lack the abitlity to do exactly what you want in all cases. I'd go with Finale.
