So I was mixing a song on Friday and come in today to find that some of the audio on my tracks is not there. I'm trying to import tracks from earlier versions oof the PT file from that day, but none of them have it. Anyone have any ideas? I have NEVER had this happen before. Much Thanks. 002R, G5 Dual 2Ghz, blah, blah, blah (Somedays I just HATE ProTools. This never would have happened to a piece of 2" tape!!! Damnit)
Is it possible that your disk allocation got changed causing any files that you rendered (consolidated, audio suited) to get saved on a different drive?

Do you know where the audio files are supposed to be located? (Typically in the Audio Files folder for the session..). Are they in that folder? If so, can you manually relink them? The key is to know where the files should be - then determine why they are not there. Did someone erase them? Are they on a non-resident drive (a drive that has been disconnected since you last ran the session)?
Hey Digi... so today I did manually relink the files. (Why couldn't the software automatically relink?) They were all in the right place, but I really like to know WHY this happened, and if it's going to happen again! Can you shed some light, please? Also, while I have your attention; while mixing today, I kept hearing glitches and what sounded like digital clicks and noises, though they were not in the audio and were never in the same place. Is this the early signs of bad Apple hardware? or is it just that LE is a bad joke (I NEVER shoudl have sold my MIX system - Must I upgrade to HD to have sanity?) I need to know as I have a lot of work in front of me. and Oh Yeah... I get those ""lost communication with the 002" messages about 10-20 times/day - wutsupwidat? (Is my 002R bad?) Much Thanks!
