Im doing some experimenting with the BITRATE #'s seeing how high I can crank them up to get the BEST picture quality possible. I thought if I raised the Max. / Max. avg it would allocate HIGHER bitrates to the action scenes therefore having a HIGHER avg. Bitrate. When I did the first test the AVG.BITRATE was EXACTLY the same as when I used the DEFAULT Bitrate setting. What do I need to change to accomplish a HIGHER AVG. BITRATE?? DEFAULT SETTING: Min. bitrate: 300 Max. bitrate: 2530 Avg. Bitrate: 1961 TEST SETTING: Min. bitrate: 300 Max. bitrate: 3500 Avg. Bitrate: 1961 THANKS....

Bits take space. So in order to have DVD2SVCD calculate a higher AVG bitrate you need to find more. There are several ways to do this. 1. Increase the number of cd's used. 2. Lower the audio bitrate, but this will reduce the quality of the audio 3. Increase the size of the CD used. You can either try to overburn or use 90 or 99 minute cd's. Keep in mind that this requires your DVD player and burner to support overburned discs. Isn't doing this testing fun. Mark

Hello How do I turn up the bitrate to put out 1 image, so I can burn that image with my dvd burner. Can this be done? Keith
