Hi there I have bought new discs/pads for the front and rear. I am wondering if anyone has any handy tips with regards to doing the job? I will also want to adjust the handbrake aswell and check the shoes. When checking/adjusting the handbrake, i understand that the handbrake has to be off etc. Do you put the car in gear or anything when jacked up so the car dont move of the axle stands etc? Sorry if the questions are silly, just want to make sure that i dont get myself trapped under the car or anything.

And I did this how to. the only way to adjust the handbrake is with it dis-engaged so as with any jacking up, don't just rely on the handbrake. Make sure the ground is level, use a trolley jack (not the cr*p wheel change one!), Chock the wheels and put the spare wheel under the rear sub frame in case it does jump the jack/axle stands.
