left or right thread

hi,can anyone tell me what thread has the nearside front nut which holds the hub etc on,is it normal way to undo or the other way and what size is the nut thanks

Strangely enough, I had my near-side nut off yesterday and it was a normal anti-clockwise thread to undo. You will need a 3/4inch drive + 32mm socket size and a 10 foot bar to get the blighter off. I snapped two 1/2 inch drives trying to do so and ordered 3/4 inch.

thanks for that,your right she was a toughy,bent one bar,broke my back but then she came loose,the funny thing was after all that i need not of undone it,the clip was in the rear under the boot,for some reason the drive shalt had come out and not held in by the clip,well the jobs done now and thanks for your help cliff
