Hey all, here is my latest creation. The guitar sounds are from the effects in my Zoom 1044. I'm looking for some input on the mix and eq please. I think there is too much low end. :) All criticisms welcome! thanks!

Nice funky stuff.Guitars in the left and right could do to be dropped a bit to let the Drums and Bass be lifted a little I think :)

Don't forget that it's always worth playing a mix on several systems to get a good average and to walk away from the system as it's playing as well. It's easy to get ,"Sonic Fatigue" after a while. :O

Nice tune, reminds me a little bit of "Ocean 11" ... There are some minor timing problems though (Guitar 0:19). Anyway, good work! I'd lower the volume on the guitars, too, just al little bit. And is there a little room/reverb on the Bass? I'd leave it out ... Cheers, M

Yes, very nice, I - not as mojo - like the bass sound with this wha-effect. Also I like the arrangement of the guitars and especially the last guitar-solo. What I don't like that much are the drums 'though. It sounds to me as if the drummer is frightened to destroy his drumheads. I miss the punch - especially in the snare a bit. To compensate this I'd perhaps compress the snare to make it more punchy. Like it 'though. -Data

Nice! I'd be wanting more umphh in the rhythm section - the track kicks butt, turn up the bass & kit :) (my 2 cents worth)

Yes, there is a bit of reverb on the bass. I'm not sure I like it either. The auto-wah stays though :). I agree the snare is a bit weak. I will have to work on that. As far as the drums and bass levels in the mix, that's where I have my issue. Obviously it is too low because that is the consensus here (or the guitar is too loud). On my sub-par system (and headphones) it's at a decent mixed level. I will have to work on that. thanks all for the comments!

Can you explain your bass setup and the EFX chain...? I like the tone. David

Overall I like the song. As has been commented on by others, the drums are too timid. I like the bass sound just fine. The drums are full of clever work, but that snare and the toms need a good whack! That would get the swing going. For all that its good fun, and sounds like you enjoyed playing it.
