Hi, I recorded some automation for the "position" on the JS: Guitar/wah plugin, and it sounded nice and smooth, with very fine-grained motion... but now it merely jumps from data point to data point instead of following a curve. The only thing I changed since I last opened the project was installing the drivers for my m-audio axiom 61. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Did I click on some setting for automation that is screwing with it? Did the axiom 61 mess with how reaper reads automation data? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, -Trevor
Sure, here it is. I had to zip it up because the forum wouldn't let me upload .rpp files. Let me know if it doesn't work for whatever reason, and I'll try again. Thanks!
It looks jumpy, but playback seems to be alright. I can hear the wah smoothly changing with your project. What is off here is the graphics of the slider and the numeric display on the JS plugin's GUI. Seems it just doesn't update often enough for a smooth display. Not exactly pleasant to the eyes. Are you hearing steps in the sound as well?
Yes, actually, the first few times I used it, the sound was very smooth, but now there are extremely obvious steps in it, like it's not reading the line, just the points...
This project plays fine as far as I can tell. As gofer said, the slider on the JS plugin only gets updated a few times a second, but as far as I can tell the audio playback is smooth. What audio buffer size are you running?
