I would LOVE this! System sample rate and sample buffer size should be buttons right on the main window. For those of us who regularly work with different source material, aggregates of interfaces and different combinations - this is the first thing you need to do for every different project you open. It would be a nice luxury to save a few mouse clicks here!:)

Click a single button for every device combination you use too. One for aggregate device combination of both MOTU828mk3's at 88.2k. One for 48k. One for aggregate device combination of Apopgee800 + Soundflower at 96k. One for... Maybe even the option to save device configuration as part of the project. :)

I think it has to be done at the "interface level" In most DAWS, the Audio Config menu opens the interface applet, and you change buffer there. This tells me that it MUST be done at the interface, even though the DAW is the "master" and the interface is the "slave" (I say this because my particular interface has a "disable host control" checkbox, which implies the DAW is in control, as default) I hope I'm wrong though :) I could use a "128/1024" toggle switch :D

Not very elegant, but you could use AutoHokeys to automate the sequence of mouse clicks it takes to set the buffer.

My workaround for doing late stage recording is I render a mix and open it in a new project tab and then lower my buffer..record the track and then pop that recording into my main project. Its not ideal..but it gets the job done. I must see if I can create a macro for it!
