Hey all, I was wondering if anyone is running SoundDiver to edit POD patches through the Digi001's midi ports? I'm having an issue where I get garbage for the patch names when trying to retrieve data from the POD 2.0. I also find that the retrieve process is excruciatingly slow - Here's my setup: Mac G4/450 640MB RAM Mac OS 9.0.4 OMS 2.3.8 (or 2.3.7 - same thing happens) Latest SoundDiver for POD I just want to rule out the Digi since the Line6 forums haven't been of any help yet. Thanks, Dave
I will be interested to hear what they have to say, please keep me updated. It wouldn't be right to have to buy another interface or have to hook it up to my *gasp* PC or something....
I am not sure what is happening here. However, it sounds like something in the SysEx dump is getting corrupted through the Digi001 MIDI ports. -Check to make sure that you are using version 5.0.1 of the Digi001 OMS Driver. -If possible to gain access to one, try connecting the POD to a third party MIDI interface and see if the jarbled patch names clear up. Ok, the Digi001 OMS driver is 5.0.1. I don't have any other midi interfaces to try here. This is a real bummer since I really can't "deep edit" the POD effectively with this issue. :-(
Ok, so here's the response I just got from Emagic tech support: -- Thanks for your message. The Digi001 midi interface will not work well with SoundDiver because it does not properly communicate system exclusive messages. -- So, Digi, what can you do about that? Dave
