I have only listened to "Rise Above" so far. Interesting kick placement. I think the bass is not prominent/defined enough. The lead vocal has slight pitch problems all the way through. Was she monitoring through headphones during tracking? The production might benefit from punch-ins or making composite tracks, even if you prefer not to use anything like the Melodyne plugin. The pedal steel sounds amazing though. All in all, congratulations for the good clean sound you achieved. Thank you for sharing your music and please keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback Impulse! There are pitch issues here and there through the entire recording and I toyed with the idea of using auto-tune. In the end I just took what I thought were the best parts of each take and went with it. It's worth noting that this is her first time recording and also the first time I've produced an entire project like this. So this was a huge learning experience! Can't wait to start the next project :-D warm regards, Jerry

No problem Jerry. I asked about headphones cause I know that many singers need to hear themselves and the room they're in clearly for being comfortable and staying in-tune. Sometimes only real open-air monitors can solve this problem (and then you might need to minimize bleed), other times it's enough to just remove one of the cans.

Nice solid tune. Kick bass comes thru well, but the rest of the kit sounds a little shy.

Have to say it again - great stuff. Listened to the whole lot. A very consistent album.
