Recorded six vocal takes on one track. I like take four Is there a easy way to put take four onto it own seperate track? I tryed to copy take four and thought I could just paste it into a new seperate track, but all six take were placed .. Thanks Basil

Right click on the track header and select "Selected tracks are free item positioning enabled". Now each take can be moved around, dragged to a new track, whatever. Have you noticed yet that if you split the takes and highlight different ones that each section that is highlighted is the one that plays? It is super cool. Also, somewhere Tallisman (user here) wrote a very cool Takes and Lanes guide that you will find very useful. I don't have the link handy but try searching the forum for it, it is really good.

You need to explode the takes after enabling free-item-positioning-mode. And presumably you would implode the remaining take afterward. You'll find these actions in the 'take' section of the right click menu.

I think I just figured out a work around for this. "Wish there was something that was explode highlight take instead of having to explode all takes into new tracks" 1.Copy the whole track that has all you takes 2 Paste into a new track 3 Highlight the track you want 4 right click...In the take section there is... "crop to active" Seems to work :-)

Highlight the take you want and glue, just stumbled on that the other day myself.

If I wanted to keep all the takes, I'd just duplicate the track then use glue on the duplicated track to get the best take by itself.
