I am nervous now. Probably a knee jerk reaction to the demo. I really hope that demo isn't an example of what PTLE has to offer. Please tell me it isn't so. That thing sounds so brittle.and...frankly just plain..bad....eeeks! IF it isn't a good representation of LE, why not put something with nicer sonic qualtiy? I realize it's all keyboards and plugs, but man... I have had reservations about going LE already for recording purposes. Thought it might be useful for mixing over my D8B (which is a pain). See post on "Am I taking a step backwards using LE?". I am going to record some drums and vocals this evening to try and convince myself LE was worth buying before an HD rig. If not it's back to the D8B and HDR24/96. Until I can save some more clams for full blown HD (which I have recorded on as musician not engineer). I will also import some sessions tracks via TCP/IP from the HDR and give that a go. I have 20 days to return this thing to sweetwatersound if it isn't what I need for mixing. someone tell me they had a similliar reaction that was quelled after a first 'real' session. Thanks mach-1

Relax, it's just software. You're the musician.

Yup I believe I am one of the original 100 members. Had the D8B from version 1.0. I finally decided to go with PT for mixing because of the wierdness of the D8B and mixing. SOunds wierd, tough to keep phasing comb filtering away, latency issues and low quality plugs. But the thing tracks like a champ! HDR2496 rules. Love that thing. Could you describe how you are tacking and transferring for me? It might save me some time experimenting. Also, do you think this PT LE is that big a difference? Thanks Mach-1 machmike
