I'm experiencing a small click at the end of the region after I drop out of record. I can get rid of them by resizing the end of the region, but I don't know why they're there. Also I burned a CD from a bounced file the other day, and when I played back the CD, there was an almighty blast of white noise at the end of the track, approximately where the click would have been.( I hadn't noticed the clicks in PT at that stage). Coincidence maybe? very strange........anyone else experience this, or could it be related to that mysterious noise which people experience from time to time.

i was also wondering about clicks - in some of my earlier PTLE mixes (5.0) i had to use quick fades to correct many instances of audio where i'd slotted in a different guitar take on the timeline or used the repeat function for bass loops that i'd converted from midi. I haven't noticed it for a while - not sure whether this is due to 5.1 upgrade or the particular audio regions i am using in current mixes. similar experiences???...fixes???

Here's a simple solution: use fades! Clicks are very usual in the digital world, all it takes is a high level ended region and here you go! The good news is that PT features a lot of parameters when it comes to fade. Use them and get rid of those clicks !

Once again guys, as long as you don't let your guitar chords or whatever it is come nicely to an end (that is a low level) by cutting it hardly, you'll ALWAYS get clicks. Use fades or don't cut (let it end softly) !

Yeah. The click occurs when the waveform is interupted. ie it drops vertically to 0 from some other point. You could use the pencil tool to edit it so that there is a line smoothing the end of the waveform down to zero. The blast of noise at the end of the CD is something different I think. If anyone knows please post cos its a pain in the arse. I'm using a yamaha external writer with a g4 400 and toast. Thanks Jack

I have exactly the same 2 problems, & don't have a solution for either - the white noise is very intermittent - I can't predict when it will happen. I have the same burner as you. ...hmmmm
