Hello all, I've run into this problem with 3 different capture programs and it's getting very annoying. Whether I use VDub, AVI-IO or DVGate (a Sony product), I cannot delete the captured AVI files when I an done with them. I get an error that says something like "Another program is using the file". This error occurs of course when No capture program is running, and even after multiple reboots and many days have passed since the files were first created. A utility program I have which displays processes and their dependencies seems to be telling me that the main system process (simply called 'Explorer' in the Task Manager process window, this is not Windows Explorer, BTW), is the process that is locking the files. I am running XP Home. The only way I have found to delete them is to re-boot the computer in Safe mode, and then the system allows me to blow the suckers away. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can easily delete these files? Any feedback would be appreciated.
