We have the same problem and have met with a similar response from the local Volvo dealer. What did you do next and did you have any success? We would really appreciate your advice and views. My email is if you would prefer this format. Many thanks, Vicki Dunn

Although I haven't had this prob on our XC90, I wonder if it's specific to certain models of wheel?? I have the 18" polished one on mine, and they appear to be quite clean at the back so to speak - I wonder if removing and cleaning the wheels, before applying a few coats of wheel wax would help, in that the mud may not adhere as much?? Just an idea Mike
