Hi. One thing that may be worth checking is the connector wiring on the air mass meter. I had similar probs recently & a garage chappy took about 5 minutes to find the snag. Had been driving me crazy for weeks! The connector had corroded. A nice shiny new one solved it. Hopefully it won't be the sensor itself as they are expensive........ Is the car a turbo? If yes, there is a computor module pop riveted onto the bracket that holds the coil in place. I have been advised (on this forum) that this module can course similar syptoms & to change it if the problem starts again on mine. If you do change it make sure you get one from a turbo model. If yours is not a turbo ignore this paragraph! Good Luck
