When I hard pan to the right tracks cut in and out

Please help. I love Reaper, but when I pan hard right my tracks aren't able to be heard anymore. They cut in & out. The routing hasn't been altered from default. This is making it impossible for me to mixdown. Any ideas?

Do these tracks have any plugins on them? If so, which ones? Sometimes a plugin that is strictly mono used on a stereo track can behave strangely when panned. More details, what do you mean cutting in and out? Does this happen if you pan the master buss? When there is no signal on one side, does the meter show that there is audio on that side and you can't hear it? Or does the audio really cut out entirely (no visuals either)?

Can you hear on both sides when it is panned to the center?

Start panning this track with zero plugins. Keep adding them one by one until the problem returns. This does not sound like a Reaper issue, but a plugin or even hardware issue. Do you get audio in the right side with other apps or online (youtube or whatever)?

So does it cut out in the headphones when you pan hard right? And when it is centered, are you hearing mono or actually both sides? Have you tried this with no plugins yet?

What do you see when you right-click the master buss I/O button? Can you post a screenshot?

This is definitely a user error somewhere, or a setting somehow changed during an update. I have seen the same problem when the sends (usually on the master buss) are not set up properly. Or you have something quirky going on with your audio card.

Then in Reaper, go to Options/Preferences/Device. For output settings, what does it say is set for input and output channels?

Are you using some interface, or onboard sound card?

Do you know how to disable the "Windows sounds" on your computer? You may be having a conflict with Windows.
