sort of in the same vein of one of my previous posts on collaborative mixing. As a compromise is there a way i.e. that two people on the web can listen to the same tune at the same time purposely ? A listening room where 2 or more people could listen to a particular tune. However, what ever the media player used would allow one to move the play cursor to any spot on the tune for review and the usual typical transport buttons would be available. I know that one can use WinAmp to stream a playlist or tune to a remote web browser, wonder if there's a way that if a remote user starts playback on a tune that said tune would be audible locally. Any thoughts ? -Charles

this sounds like a really cool idea. But it would be stellar to take it a little further: Imagine extending the reamote functionality some, such that you could direct connect to another reaper via ip address. Imagine the both being synced such that commands and edits in one were propagated to the other. I could load up a version of the project my brother is working on and effectively mix it with him. A quick, behind the scenes comparison, and our available Plugins are congruent... add The Rocket on track 5 here, and track 5 there gets it too. that would be very cool. .t

there exist tools such as Yugma,Dim Dim and others but the audio isn't there as far as redirecting the sound card output out to your collaborator, the closet I'm come is Skype based media players but these have very limited functionality. Net Meeting would suffer from the same woes as Yugma I believe. It is also not free if I recall correctly.
