anyone help me here? my engine management light has been on for a couple of weeks now, so i have booked into dealer for diagnosis and to reset light. the funny thing is, today i have been renewing the narrow bore pipes from the turbo to various other parts of the engine, and after approx 10 miles, the engine management light has gone out. what i wondered is; if i have repaired the fault ie a split hose, will the management light automatically go out itself, or will it have to be reset regardless of the fault being rectified? i dunno whether to phone the dealer tomorrow and cancel my booking, because in the last 2 month of doing my own repairs, i have had to cancel bookings with the dealer on 3 occasions.
