Digital distortion

I know latency won't harm my recording, but I believe recording Is also about having fun with what you're doing as well as having good quality you know, and I just find It a little bit less enjoying when there Is latency that's all. :) Thanks for your replies though will keep them in mind when I am to buy either a pre-amp or a mixer. Don't know when that will be though since I'm dying to buy myself a good spring reverb too. So If you know about some killer spring reverb pedals at a reasonable price please let me know. :)
