@birdie_in_texas Hi! One of the several different successful methods I used to rip and compress the Region 1 (US) version of "The Brothers Grimm" was: 1) Used DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 to rip to my hard drive 2) Used VOBBlanker v.2.0.1.0 to simply load the ripped hard drive files and press the "Process" button (Using the default settings) 3) Used DVD Shrink to compress "Full Disk"

just got done witht he method described just above..first time using anything but dvd shrink for me...the encoding is going smoothly! thanks for help you guys! Happy Holidays!

those are both "pay for" programs..? i do not mind paying for things that work, and work well it seems.. where do you buy cloneDVD..at the local best buy store? and again..thank you so very much for the info!
