kdigennaro - when you run the exe, it'll put a file on your computer that ends in ".dll" That files is the plug-in itself. Reaper finds those plugings by looking in the plug ins folder, which in addition to the default Reaper folder, is specified under Options / Preferences / Plug Ins / VST. I like to keep all my VSTs and VSTi under C:\VST.

it could be program files, but it might also be under the Reaper folders. you can run the installer again and see where it defaults to. you can also use the button in the preferences page i mentioned to "rescan plugins"... Reaper might see it then.

yes it does, but not neither the keys or the pads work, the only thing they work with is that easy base vintage synth (will make sure they still work in that) edit: yeah its strange, it only works with that vintage bass synth and the midi pads dont work but they do give a red light like they're being picked up. And they even have marks when i play it back, but they dont make noise. The other synths i can press keys and pads and marks show up on my screen (sound waves i guess) but no sound is played

KDiGenarro, This is confusing and I have confused myself many times over with it. People say it is logical and you feel like it is so f..n logical you just want to take to the whole hardware with a tomahawk. Do not do this as it will not be good for the gear.... or your peace of mind. I use the internal Reaper synth just to make sure it is all ok in the routing. Only then do I add the synth of choice. Pads and some notes can make no sound because there is no sound at that keyrange or midi destination in the soft synth. Some soft synths are only one or two octaves such as the odd bass synth. From memory I think then you get lights lighting up showing midi received but no sound. In some soft synths the pads are not mapped to anything. That sounds like the behaviour you describe. In such a case you can map the pads or other controls using the enigma software but be warned. There is a bloody good reason why somebody gave it the name "ENIGMA". It is a bit of a learning curve. Just to frustrate you some more: 'See it is all very logical and simple'.
